Here is how to identify a few of the poisonous spiders here in southern Arizona:
Black widows can be identified by the red hourglass on the underside of its belly.
The Tucson, Apache and Arizona recluses are brown in color and have a dark violin shape mark on its back. They do not make a web for catching their prey because they are considered hunter spiders.
